Exactly one year ago, in November 2022, eight frozen white balls, each the size of a palm, were left near the shelter. If someone had asked me how tall they would be, I would have said – the size of a poodle. And look at him now, the out-and outer, handsome as a movie star, a big whirlwind of joy, a playful and good-natured dog in his prime!
But Sven’s story is more than just transformation; Sven is adorned with the optimism of those left behind, disappointments can not kill his hope. And so, from morning to evening, he hopes – for cookies, action, hugs … and for his family that will provide him with all of that, plus what we can’t – a warm bed and 24 hours of love and attention. From a tiny pup to this magnificent dog, his journey has been one of resilience. Let’s not let it be in vain. Let’s be the ones to script his happy ending, to be the family he longs for.
