On-Site Volunteer
Shelter Care & Dog Support Volunteer
If you enjoy being around dogs and do not mind getting your hands dirty, you can volunteer directly at our shelter.
As a Shelter Care & Dog Support Volunteer, you may help with:
- cleaning kennels and shelter areas
- socialising, training and walking dogs
- brushing and grooming dogs
- spending time with shy or withdrawn dogs to help them build trust
- mowing grass and maintaining outdoor areas
- painting fences
- small repairs and practical jobs around the shelter
- helping improve the shelter environment and make it more comfortable for the dog
This role is perfect for people who want to make a direct difference in the everyday lives of our dogs.

Adoption Coordinator
The Adoption Coordinator communicates with potential adopters, helps guide them through the adoption process and stays in touch after the adoption. This volunteer follows the progress of adopted dogs, checks that they are settling well into their new homes and helps build long-term relationships with adopters.
Fundraiser
The Fundraiser helps secure the financial support our shelter needs. This volunteer develops and runs fundraising campaigns, identifies potential donor organisations and supporters, researches funding opportunities and helps prepare project proposals and grant applications.
