He is playful, good-natured and eager for human love. When Cuni arrived at the shelter as a small puppy we were still at the city landfill where the puppies were housed in the same area with adult dogs. The dogs attacked him and he suffered a large wound on his neck. Sewing at the vet didn’t help, the wound kept opening and our struggle to heal Cuni was lasting for months. The wound had finally healed, but sadness remained in his eyes. Sometimes he runs and plays, sometimes he barks over the fence out of sheer boredom, but most of the time Cuni waits a miracle to happen, for a good human being to come and take him to safety, to his home.
