About Vita

Vita isn’t as sad as it may seem. Or, rather, she is not much sadder than any other dog who spends their life in a shelter. She eagerly anticipates life and all the little joys it brings. Perhaps it’s due to the name we bestowed upon her, despite how she appeared when we rescued her from the streets.

Her diagnosis is “patella luxation”, a condition involving the deformation of the patella in her hind legs. We reached out to surgeons in Bosnia and Croatia, but only received a response from a Swiss surgeon who could perform the necessary operations.  I won’t even mention the price for that operation (actually, two operations).

What I want to say is that Vita, just like any other dog, needs and deserves her family and her home, that her illness does not prevent her from being happy, from running, from playing, from fighting for her place, from learning, from kissing, from loving and and doing all the things that other dogs do. Oh, how overjoyed she would be if I could tell her she’s leaving the shelter for her forever home ❤️🐾!
