Besides being adopted, Lajka has one more priority in life: playing with her doggie buddies, the ones who are ready for her enthusiastic spirit and spending days in chasing around the yard. But, despite her playful nature, Lajka is timid. As it happily bounces, she allows only brief moments of contact before running away. She arrived at the shelter as a three-month-old puppy in November 2017, and those asylum years have left their mark. Lajka has grown into a mistrustful but good-natured soul who avoids conflict and runs away from anything she perceives as “danger” – except when it comes to play, where her courage knows no bounds.
We believe that in a safe environment, and with lots of love and patience, her timidity would disappear, and that Lajka would show her family the joy of living.
