Mirta was found as a little puppy, wandering the streets completely on her own. She grew into a large, black dog of the Labrador type – strong and full of life. She loves to play and enjoys being around people – in short, she is wonderful when she feels safe and focused.
At the same time, when faced with unfamiliar situations, Mirta can be highly reactive and difficult to control. New stimuli can easily overwhelm her, and in those moments she needs guidance and a confident, experienced person who knows how to help her regain focus.
For this reason, Mirta is not in the shelter but in a foster home, living with a small group of dogs where her environment can be better managed.
What she needs is not just a home, but a person who understands dogs like her – someone patient, consistent, and willing to invest in her training so she can learn to channel her energy in the right direction. Someone who will bring out the best in her and give her a happy, fulfilled life.
