About Zoro

Zoro faces quadruple discrimination. Instead of being born into a kennel as a small white poodle with a certificate of a large family tree, he emerged as a large black dog with no pedigree, born in the wild alongside a road. His elegant physique, lustrous coat, confident demeanor, and eyes akin to aged gold are not a compelling enough reason to adopt for most people. Nor do his cheerful, playful, and good-natured disposition, or his natural inclination to faithfully walk beside people (I often picture him with a cape and a mask over his eyes, my valiant protector).

Okay, I confess, he can be a bit insistent… in the morning, when I step into the shelter, he cries out the loudest, eager for me to come and greet him. Other than that, he’s a solid five. Moreover, the very fact that he lacks pedigree renders him original and one-of-a-kind. Just imagine, no one else will have a dog as uniquely special as you, should you choose to adopt him.

P.S. Zoro would appreciate knowing he has a dogfather, someone else besides us thinking of him.
